Have you ever wondered why there are so few women in engineering and the sciences?

Attend this free Parent and Educator Program from 9:30 - 11:00am, Saturday January 26th, offered by the UCSD Society of Women Engineers (SWE). 

Debra Kimberling will address how to effectively promote engineering to youth, how early career choices are influenced and discuss ways of overcoming the hurdles women face in entering and sustaining a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) careers. 

Learn from the latest research on women in STEM as to what you can do to support girls no matter which career they choose.

What is the EPT and the ELM?


What is the EPT and the ELM?

The EPT (English Placement Test) is designed to assess the level of reading and writing skills of entering undergraduate students so that they can be placed in appropriate courses.

The ELM (Entry Level Math) exam is designed to assess the skill levels of entering California State University students in the areas of mathematics typically covered in three years of rigorous college preparatory mathematics courses in high school.

BE WiSE is recruiting 7/8th girls with interest in STEM!

San Diego’s award winning BE WiSE Program immerses girls in real world science & engineering experiences from the initial sleepover, through their high school years.

The BEWiSE program of the San Diego Science Alliance is accepting applications from 7th-8th grade girls, deadline January 30th!
