#WellnessWednesday: Identifying Strengths
Happy 27th
Wellness Wednesday of the school year!
This week was the third
session of our SUHi Rising Stars support group. This week
we had our students interview one another to identify 5 strengths. Then, they
had to list five more self-identified strengths. We had a very productive
session!
In order for us to be the
best version of ourselves, we need to focus on our strengths and grow from our
weaknesses.
Self-Care

it where you can see it often.

Learn how to say “please” & “thank you” in 5 different

Our relaxation room in the counseling center is housed in office #141. Many
students have been using this space during the school day as a calming place in
the hustle and bustle of student life. We are still looking for donations of a
lamp or market lights, wellness books, decorative fountain, zen garden, and
anything else to help make our wellness room a calming space.
Please
continue to encourage students to experience the Wellness Wednesday Relaxation Lounge in the Counseling Center at lunch on Wednesdays.
It’s the perfect spot to de-stress and decompress. Nurse Wegener also has a
relaxation space for students who need.

SUHSD 2019 Suicide Prevention Forum

- Internship duration: June - August 2019 (8 weeks)
- Internships are PAID: 32 - 40 hour work week
- Engineering internships include:
- Electrical or Mechanical Design
- Computer Programming
- Manufacturing
- Systems Engineering
- Interest in a STEM-related career
- Previous work experience
- Leadership and teamwork capabilities
