 San Diego Cal-SOAP and SUHSD will be co-hosting the Senior Year JumpStart College Access Conference at Hilltop High School on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 8:30 am to 12 noon. Hispanic Business Student Association (HBSA) SDSU Annual High School Conference

The Hispanic Business Student Association (HBSA) at San Diego State University is pleased to announce its Annual High School Conference taking place on April 22nd, 2023 from 9:00am to 3:00pm at SDSU's Theatre.


HBSA’s mission for our Annual High School Conference is to bring diverse students onto a college campus and instill higher education into their minds. We hope to invoke professionalism and leadership development that will help students succeed throughout their academic and individual careers.

Interested in the Medical Field?

MedReach at UCLA is pleased to invite high school students across California to our Healthcare seminar on May 20th, 2023 from 12 PM - 2 PM located on our very own UCLA campusAt this seminar, students will learn about various healthcare careers, participate in mock case studies to better understand the role of healthcare providers, and engage in fun activities to challenge their knowledge of medical terminology! Students will also have the opportunity to ask a panel of pre-health college students their questions regarding college applications, career choices, academics, and more! For those of you who are unable to join us in person, we will be hosting an additional VIRTUAL seminar that will take place May 6th, 2023 from 12 PM - 2 PM over Zoom. The content of this event will be the same as the in-person seminar, but we highly encourage you to attend our in-person event to get the most out of the experience. Additionally, MedReach is offering a mentorship program available to all students. High school students will be specifically paired with a pre-health college student as their mentor, to offer guidance curated to students’ academic, professional, and career goals. If interested, fill out the following form which will help our organization to pair you with the appropriate mentor. This program is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

SDSU Compact for Success

The Compact for Success, established in 2000 is an agreement between SDSU and the Sweetwater Union High School District (SUHSD) that guarantees admission to SUHSD students (up to the class of 2024), who meet the Compact for Success admissions requirements. The Compact for Success department collaborates with school and district personnel to provide outreach and education to students and parents in the district through mentoring, workshops, assemblies, and campus visits. Our department employs work-study students (College Outreach Assistants) who serve as mentors and role models to middle and high school students in the SUHSD.
