On behalf
of Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez, I would like to extend a personal invitation
for your wonderful students--specifically the classes of 2016 and 2017--to
apply for our Summer Junior Legislative Program.
We look for
students who want to make a positive difference in our community. Junior
Legislators will learn about the different facets of State Government, get
hands-on experience as team members for an Assemblymember, meet community
leaders and elected officials, work together to propose their own piece of
legislation, build a track record of civic engagement that can be included in resumes
and college applications, and receive a Certificate of Recognition upon
completion of the program.
We hope to
provide a special leadership and service experience that will help bring our
students success in the competitive college application process upon which they
are about to embark.
