The External Affair's High School Conference will take place on April 28th from 8am to 8pm. This conference operates to give local San Diego high school students of diverse communities the opportunity to get information about the resources available to them in order to get into higher education institutions. The purpose of this program is to reach out to high school students and show them that higher education and the means to get there are not intimidating when they have the knowledge and the information on how to to get there. We would like to provide students with that information and thereby inspire them to pursue higher education whether through community college and transfer routes or through the straight path into four-year universities. We would like to foster this by also allowing them spaces to talk about their identities, struggles, and the structures that contribute to the former two.

Here is the application that students need to fill out in order to participate:

Bus transpiration may be available. Sign up with Ms. Luansing in the Counseling Center if you are interested.
