Miami University Summer Scholars Program

Miami's Summer Scholars Program provides a rich, early college experience for academically talented rising high school juniors and seniors from across the globe. Students will join an engaged community of learners for an intense, two-week program on Miami’s campus exploring a topic of their choice with an acclaimed Miami faculty member. Participants who later choose to apply to Miami will also receive priority consideration for Miami merit scholarships and the University’s premier academic programs — the University Honors Program and the University Academic Scholars Program.
If you have students who would be interested in this opportunity, I hope you will encourage them to learn more about the Summer Scholars Program and apply. The University is pleased to offer a limited number of full scholarships for the Summer Scholars Program to academically talented students with financial need who apply and are accepted to the program.
As part of the application process, counselors will need to submit the following materials online. All application materials must be received by May 1, 2017.
- Letter of recommendation
- Applicant’s current transcript
- Copy of any available test score reports (We will gladly accept ACT, SAT, PSAT, and PLAN scores; official score reports are not required.)
- Verification of an applicant’s eligibility for free or reduced school lunch (if submitting application materials on behalf of a student in need of financial assistance)
