Better Business Bureau Torch Awards Scholarship Essay Program: 
THEME: "The Importance of Ethics and Integrity in our Community"
Five cash scholarships $500, $750, $1,000, $1,250, $1,500. Essay no longer than 400 words. Students may apply online at www.sandiego.bbb.org/scholarship-program
Eligibility:
A member of the graduating class of 2015 or 2016
Application deadline: October 24, 2014

Prudential Spirit of Community Award: 
The award was created to honor both middle and high school students for outstanding acts of community service. There is a potential to receive $1,000 and a trip to Washington, D.C.. Students may apply online at spirit.prudential.com or nassp.org/spirit
Eligibility:
Grades 7-12 youth volunteers

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program
The scholarship program is an undergraduate scholarship program available to high-achieving high school seniors. Students selected may receive up to $40,000 per year.
Eligibility:
High school seniors
Financial need
Enrolling in an accredited 4-year college or university in Fall 2015
Overall unweighted grade point average of 3.5 or above
SAT 1200+ or ACT composite 26+

Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) Branch 289 Americanism Essay Contest:
Theme: "Why I Am Proud To Be An American"
Awards are $100, $200, $300 for local brance winners; $1,000, $1,500, $2,500 for national winners; $5,000 for national grand prize winner. Essays no longer than 350 words. www.fra.org/essay
Eligibility:
Grades 7-12

Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholarship:
Applications will be judged on Scholarship, Leadership, Financial Need. There is a potential to receive up to $50,000. Students may download the application at www.elks.org/enf/scholars/mvs.cfm
Eligibility:
High school senior
United States citizens
Application deadline: before December 5, 2014 to Ms. Donato-Palmore

Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF)
The APIASF General Scholarship is open to Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) high school and college students who will be enrolling in a U.S. accredited college or university as a degree-seeking undergraduate student in the upcoming academic year, Fall 2015. There are multiple scholarship opportunities that vary in award amount, number of years, field of study, location, and more.

Gates Millennium Scholars Program 2015:
Support for the cost of education by covering unmet need and self-help aid, including graduate school funding for continuing Scholars in the areas of computer science, education, engineering, library science, mathematics, public health or science.

Eligibility:
High school seniors enrolling in a U.S. college or university in Fall 2015
Have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular or
other activities
Minimum 3.3 GPA
Demonstrate financial need (Federal Pell Grand eligibility criteria)
United States citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the United States
African American, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Asian & pacific Islander American, or Hispanic American

Better Business Bureau 2015 Student Ambassador Program
The program gives students the opportunity to deliver information to their peers on campus regarding budgeting, saving, using credit cards wisely, reading credit reports and protecting their identity. Students may apply online at www.sandiego.bbb.org/scholarship-program and to get more information.

A member of the graduating class of 2015 or 2016

WACE National Co-op Scholarship Program
Scholarship amount depends on the university. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must apply to one of the eleven WACE partner institutions listed below:

Brad Fowler Scholarship Fund
One year scholarship worth $5,000.
Eligibility:
High school senior
United States citizens
Enrolling in two- or four-year college in the Fall of 2015
Has overcome personal obstacles and troubles in life associated with drugs or alcohol
Demonstrate athletic achievement in organized sports, leadership ability, personal responsibility, academic growth
Demonstrate financial need
