California students can apply for free* AND be considered for a scholarship!

University of Massachusetts, Lowell is pleased to announce a special scholarship opportunity for undergraduate applicants from California. They offer more than 100 undergraduate majors, 200 student organizations and hands-on experience to help prepare students for the real world. Our prime New England location attracts students from 30 states and 50 countries, creating an exciting and diverse campus community, watch it now

All students who meet the criteria outlined below will automatically be considered to receive the California Academic Achievement Award. All majors are eligible and no special application is necessary.

Criteria for Freshman Award of $7,500

> California resident

> 1150 SAT (combined verbal and math) or equivalent 25 on ACT

> 3.0 GPA (recalculated)

If you are ready to apply, we will waive the application fee, they can use the Common Application or our customized UMass Lowell application online at
www.uml.edu/apply.

Application Deadlines:

Early Action - Nov. 15 (Materials deadline Nov. 25)
Regular Decision - Feb. 15
* To waive the application fee on the Common Application, go to Questions in the General section and answer "yes" to the question, "Do you intend to use one of the school-specific fee waivers?"
