San Diego County Library is hosting a college fair and legal workshops for undocumented students again this fall!
· Our Education for All College Fair is Thursday, November 10 from 6:00-8:30 at Spring Valley Library. We have 8 schools on board with us: UCSD, SDSU, Cuyamaca, Grossmont, City, Mesa, Southwestern, and Palomar. We will be covering basic terms and financial aid presentations, and students will have a chance to talk with friendly representatives. We will also be having a step-by-step financial aid application instruction session that’s specific to undocumented students.
· Legal assistance workshops for DACA/DACA renewal applicants at the El Cajon Library from October 27-December 17. A lot of students are turning 15 and aging into DACA eligibility requirements! These events will walk them step by step through the application process for free with the help of a qualified attorney. Even if they aren’t eligible for DACA, they can ask general immigration questions at our information session, which is this Thursday, October 27 at 6 PM.
