Open
enrollment for the 2017 Teen Police Academy for ages 13-18 has begun. The
12-week academy will begin on Feb. 22 and end on May 11. Classes will be
held on Wednesday nights from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Police Department. Applicants
will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, and all applicants will
undergo a small background check. First priority is given to students who live
and/or attend school in Chula Vista. As we anticipate the class will fill
up very quickly, we recommend acting immediately.
Interested
teens should complete the application, then email it to againes@chulavistapd.org. Applications can also be dropped off at the
front office of the Chula Vista Police Department, at Fourth Avenue and F
Street.
