Why attend the CyberCamp?
Do you have an interest in cybersecurity and computers? Are you a beginner and
would like to learn more about securing networks and hardening Operating
Systems? The CyberCamp is the perfect first step towards learning more about
cybersecurity!
Do I need any special skills or previous knowledge to attend the CyberCamp?
Camp attendees do not need to have any special skill set to participate in the
CyberCamp. Some very basic knowledge of computer hardware (knowing how to use a
mouse, start a monitor, can identify Windows start button icon, etc.) is
helpful but not necessary. A basic English reading level is essential as many
individual and group labs and activities are written directives and students
must work alone and with small groups to accomplish tasks. The most important
skill to possess is the passion to learn and a positive attitude!
