Wellness Wednesday #BeWellRedDevils

Welcome back Red Devils! We hope you had a wonderful summer break.

Your school counselors are here for you! Our work includes supporting your academics, but also preparing you for college/career, as well as providing social/emotional supports.

As an effort to increase our social/emotional supports here at SUHi, the counselors will be sending Wellness Wednesday messages to help you be the best you can be!

Our Wellness Wednesdays messages will consist of SELF-CARE tips and a KINDNESS CHALLENGE.

Self-care is crucial for our physical, emotional and mental well-being. In order for us to excel academically, we have to take care of ourselves.

Kindness is very important in creating a sense of community and belonging. One act of small kindness can release an enormous chain of positive events. We hope our weekly challenge will encourage our entire SUHi Family to “choose kindness”.

We also invite you to our Wellness Wednesday lunchtime circles in the counseling center conference room to help you destress and refocus on being the BEST you. These will begin at 12:15PM each Wednesday. We hope to see you there!

To spread the good news of our wellness efforts, please use the hashtag #BeWellRedDevils in sharing your Wellness Wednesday activities.

Be Well Red Devils! ~SUHi Counseling

Today’s Wellness Wednesday Message:

Self-Care: Write a letter to your future June 2019 self. Focus on what you hope to accomplish and achieve.

Kindness Challenge: Smile, make eye contact, and say hello to others on your way to class. Smiling signals friendliness and encourages positive interactions.
