Happy Wednesday Red Devils!
As an effort to increase our social/emotional supports on
campus, the counselors will be sending Wellness Wednesday messages with our
SUHi Community.
Our Wellness Wednesdays messages will consist of SELF-CARE
tips and a KINDNESS CHALLENGE:
·
Self-care is crucial for our physical,
emotional and mental well-being. In order for us to be the best we can be for
our students, we have to take care of ourselves.
·
Kindness is very important in creating a sense of
community and belonging. One act of small kindness can release an enormous
chain of positive events. We hope our weekly challenge will encourage our
entire SUHi Family to “choose kindness”.
Today’s Wellness Wednesday Message:
SELF CARE:
Use your calendar to schedule “me time” to do something you enjoy.
KINDNESS CHALLENGE:
Start a cycle of encouragement. Tell someone near you what you
appreciate about them. They may return the favor when you need it most.
Please share the
Wellness Wednesday lunchtime circles for students to “empty the cup” and
discuss how to apply the self-care tip of the week. These will begin at 12:15PM
each Wednesday in the Counseling Center conference room. Please encourage any
students who might benefit to attend.
To spread the
good news of our wellness efforts, please use the hashtag #BeWellRedDevils in
sharing your Wellness Wednesday activities.
Be Well Red Devils!
