We are almost 1 month away from our 2019
Parent symposium, Embracing our Community to Ensure a Stronger Future, April 27, 2019, at Montgomery HS. We
are asking for your support in spreading the word, sharing and announcing this
event at your schools. In addition to having workshops that will address:
Cyber Bullying, Success in College, Micro-Aggressions, Restorative
Practices, Trauma Informed Care, Teen Depression, Building Relationships,
Overcoming Failures, and more, the Parent symposium will also have a
Community Resource fair attended by several agencies and Colleges.
Parents are highly encouraged to bring their Middle and High
School students to the event, where students can speak directly with some of
our local colleges & outreach programs from SDSU, UCSD, USD, Point Loma
Nazarene, SWC, San Diego City & Mesa college. Many of our community
partners are making donations and will give away gifts at the end of the event
such as Padres tickets, Museum passes, Gift cards, Cruise tickets, Electronics,
Gym memberships, Middle and High School reading books and more. Have your

Additionally, we will donate a giveaway for your parent
activities to the top 3 schools with the highest attendance on the
day of the event. So far, we have the following schools with the
