Wellness Wednesday: Make Lemonade

Happy Wellness Wednesday!

As the popular saying goes, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”

Here are 5 ways to make the best of a bad situation.

Self-Care Tip
Call (not text) a friend or family member you haven’t spoken to in a long time.
Here is a great calendar for kindness actions you can do for the month of March:
Mindful March

Kindness Challenge
Pick up litter as you walk to and from class today.

Affective Statement
I am worried about/by/to see/to hear that….

Please complete our Wellness Wednesday Questionnaire.

Because YELLOW stands for happiness, positivity, energy, optimism, and joy, we are asking for our campus community to wear YELLOW on Wednesdays to help promote our Wellness Wednesday efforts.

We invite you to encourage students to visit our Wellness Room in the counseling center room in office 141 if they need to de-stress and decompress. Please have students check in with a counselor before using the Wellness Room. Typically, we have students use the Wellness Room for no longer than 15 minutes at a time to report back to class ASAP.

Take our virtual tour of our SUHi Wellness Room

To spread the good news of our wellness efforts, please use the hashtag #BeWellRedDevils in sharing your Wellness Wednesday activities.

SDSU Marine Science Day 2020

On behalf of the San Diego State University Marine Ecology and Biology Student Association (MEBSA), we invite you to the 8th Annual Marine Science Day!

Marine Science Day is an open house of the SDSU Coastal and Marine Institute (CMI) to showcase current research at SDSU, the facilities at CMI, and many educational activities related to marine ecology, biology, and conservation! This exciting opportunity to explore CMI, experience what goes on at a working marine research laboratory and engage with local marine scientists only comes around once a year!

The 8th Annual Marine Science Day themed "Secret Seas", is FREE and geared toward students, teachers, and families. Educational activities will demonstrate key topics of ongoing research and related issues in marine science and secrets of our local marine species. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to interact with the faculty and graduate student marine researchers who call CMI ‘home’.
