Marine Science Day is an open house of the SDSU Coastal and Marine Institute (CMI) to showcase current research at SDSU, the facilities at CMI, and many educational activities related to marine ecology, biology, and conservation! This exciting opportunity to explore CMI, experience what goes on at a working marine research laboratory and engage with local marine scientists only comes around once a year!
The 8th Annual Marine Science Day themed "Secret Seas", is FREE and geared toward students, teachers, and families. Educational activities will demonstrate key topics of ongoing research and related issues in marine science and secrets of our local marine species. In addition, guests will have the opportunity to interact with the faculty and graduate student marine researchers who call CMI ‘home’.
