Wellness Wednesday: New Start

Happy Wellness Wednesday!

Starting anew means new beginnings and fresh starts. If you can let go of the past, freeing yourself of failures and disappointments, you can embrace a new perspective—a fresh look at the future and all the wonderful possibilities it holds.

Kindness Challenge: Lift others up. Nourish them. Don't deflate.

Self-Care Tip: Slow down today. Don't rush. Take one thing at a time.

We all need someone to talk to, someone who listens, and someone who understands. Your Sweetwater High School Counselors are here for you. Click here to complete the SUHi Wellness Check-In. Your counselor will reach out to you 😀

Because YELLOW stands for happiness, positivity, energy, optimism, and joy, we are asking for our campus community to wear YELLOW on Wednesdays to help promote our Wellness Wednesday efforts.

Community Service Opportunity: Toy Drive DRIVE-THRU EVENT

Wellness Wednesday: Kindness Rules

By seeing ourselves in others, we strengthen our capacity to empathize and care. By disregarding others, we add to the pain present in the world. Even in small things, it is this cycle of reciprocity upon which the health of the human family depends.

Reciprocity is a mutual exchange in a relationship. It is a social norm where if someone does something kind for you, you then return the favor. It involves treating others the way that they treat us.

All that we admire and appreciate about human kindness need the nourishing soil of reciprocity to flower.

Self-Care Tip:

Listen whole-heartedly to others without judgement.

Kindness Challenge:

Post a friendly review online for a business, restaurant, or school.
