Every 15 minutes in the United States of America, someone dies in an alcohol related car crash.
The 11th and 12th graders of SUHi learned the harsh reality of drinking and driving last week when several of our students participated in the the Every 15 Minutes program.
Along with National City Police Department, National City Fire Department, several staff members, and students, a staged car crash involving students and staff was seen by the 11th and 12th graders on the corner of D Avenue and 30th street.
The two day event left students reflecting on the choices they make when it comes to drinking and driving, or even getting in a car with someone who has been drinking.
