FilAmFest Scholarship Available to High School & College Students
“The youth is the hope of our future.” – José Rizal
As part of our effort to give back to the San Diego Filipino American community, FilAmFest has a scholarship program available to all high school and college students. Our scholarship program will award students based on their academic achievement and contribution to their community. We want to reward students who have shown to be exemplary examples of leaders in their schools and organizations.
Since the scholarship program became available five years ago, FilAmFest has awarded students all over San Diego county for their contributions to their schools and community. Our high school applicants have represented many of the schools in the Sweetwater Union High School District and San Diego Union School District, including Morse High School, Sweetwater High School, Eastlake High School and more. The college recipients of theFilAmFest scholarship come from an even more diverse background of SDSU, UCSD, UCLA and USD.
Our hope for the scholarship awards is to provide a portion of the foundation to build strong leaders in the new generation of Filipino Americans.
Last day to turn in scholarship applications is September 14, 2013 @ 11:59 P.M.
