We are pleased to announce that South Bay C.A.B.E Chapter 65, (California Association for Bilingual Educators) is once again awarding scholarships to high school seniors. The purpose of these scholarships is to support students who are determined to further their education and pursue a college degree. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one senior from each high school in the Sweetwater Union School District. We would greatly appreciate any efforts you would put forth to encourage high school seniors, who meet the following criteria, to complete an application:
- Students must be bilingual (speak, read and write in a language other than English)
- A G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher
- Financial Need
- Going to a two year or four year college in the fall of 2016
Recipients and their parents will be honored at our Annual Scholarship Breakfast on May 14, 2016 at Rancho Del Rey Middle School.
