“College Is For Me” Conference
The Early Assessment Program (EAP) at CSU San Marcos is proud to announce that we will be hosting the first annual, “College Is For Me” Conference on our campus. We have teamed up with Escondido Education COMPACT and San Diego Workforce Partnership to bring this free conference to CSU San Marcos.
This conference is scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 9 am to 1 pm. The conference is for middle/high school students and their families. The conference will be held in the USU Ballroom and our breakout sessions will be in nearby classrooms. We will have various breakout sessions along with a community/campus organization fair. The College Is For Me conference is designed to demystify the inaccessibility of higher education for members of marginalized populations in our society. This conference is an opportunity for people who have never considered college to learn how higher education can be a means for self-empowerment.
The flyer for the event is attached. Guests can still attend the event without registering. It is highly encouraged that guests register for the event, so we have a headcount for breakfast and lunch. You can even register a group of 50 people or individually. You can register for the event by visiting: http://collegeisforme.brownpapertickets.com/
Feel free to forward this email to your colleagues, neighbors, friends, and family.
