Weekly Counselor Update Distance Learning - May 5

9th Grade Message:
Dear Parent/Guardian,

It's your SUHi Counselors dropping by to say hello!

The Sweetwater Union High School District is providing a dynamic program for your 9th grade student to help find their passion in life and hone in on their career goals.
Thrively, a web based program, will help your child gain information regarding their character strengths and get a detailed view of their potential career interests:
www.thrively.com/

By the end of the semester, with the help of their counselors and teachers, your student will have identified their top strengths and explored related career fields.

The video has details on the assignments to be completed.

Your student will also be able to invite you to view their progress. Have your student add you to their Thrively account.

For more information, contact lysabeth.luansing-garcia@sweetwaterschools.org

12th Grade Message:
Hi Red Devils! It's your SUHi Counselors dropping by to say hello!
We hope that you and your family are well and in good spirits.  As the end of the school year nears, we would like to encourage students to continue to do well in all your classes.  You may have already heard that our district recently adjusted graduation requirements for the class of 2020. Attached is a highlight of the courses required to graduate, with helpful FAQ’s.

This adjustment is not meant to affect the graduation status of any senior.  If we discover any issue connected to this change, your counselor will personally reach out to you.
We want to assure you that we are here to support you. It is a privilege to work with you all… we are in this together!
