Society of Women Engineers and Women in Computing at UC San Diego is promoting their outreach program. EDGE, Empowerment and Development for Girls in Engineering, which is a year long program catered to 9-12 graders interested in pursuing an engineering degree.
Our mission is to encourage more high school girls to consider STEM related careers in order to bridge the gender gap in engineering fields. This program will provide opportunities to network with women in engineering and computer science fields at UCSD, as well as provide various workshops and events to foster interest in a wide variety of STEM fields.
This is the second year of this program, and we would really appreciate help recruiting passionate and driven students. Attached is the flyer for our program, and we would love for you to send it to anyone who may be interested.
Applications for the 2021-2022 school year are now open, and students may apply through this form. The application deadline is September 23, 2021 at 11:59 pm.
