End of the Year Information for Seniors

Happy 2021! We all hope you are doing well and hoping you are staying safe and healthy. As
semester 2 begins, we know you are all anxiously awaiting senior events. Please know that we are
working as a district to provide the best experience that we can give you. Here is the most updated
information that we have at this time:

1. Yearbooks

Please visit www.balfour.com to reserve a copy of our Centennial yearbook. This year, each
yearbook purchase comes with a sticker of our student centennial logo. This is a special item
that is only being distributed with yearbook purchases so be sure to reserve your copy now!
Yearbooks are $65 until Spring Break; the price increases to $75 after April 4, 2021. Please see
the YEARBOOK FLYER for more details.

The current schedule for yearbook distribution is the last week of school, as permitted by
County and District safety and health guidelines. Specific dates, times and locations will be
shared once available.

2. Graduation

Dates have not been set but for planning purposes, SUHSD schools graduate the first week of
June. We also do not know if we will be allowed to have in person graduations. Currently, the
senior class presidents, ASB presidents and the Assistant Principal of Student Activities have
formed committees to discuss virtual graduations. More information will be shared once
available.

3. Graduation Cap and Gowns

Please remember that purchasing your cap/gown and any other graduation products is
optional. How we celebrate your graduation (traditional or virtual) is still to be determined,
but we will be following our District’s Covid-19 guidelines. At this time, we are not providing
rentals for caps/gowns. Should rentals be provided, information will be shared as it becomes
available.

For senior/graduation items (ie. cap and gown, announcements, rings, letterman jackets),
please contact Balfour to order at (619) 434-6855, or by visiting their website at
www.balfour.com.

Senior/graduation items can be shipped directly to your house for an additional fee.
Please see the attached links to the Grad Order Form and information for ordering letterman
jackets

4. Senior Activities

“Sweetwater Union High School District programs and activities shall be free from discrimination based on age, gender, gender identity or expression, or genetic information, sex, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, ethnic group identification, marital or parental status, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation; the perception of one or more of such characteristics; or association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics.”
SUHSD Board Policy 0410.

We appreciate your patience as we continue through distance learning. Please feel free to contact
