We’re excited to be hosting the fourth annual San Diego County Black College Expo next week, so I want to send a reminder about this important opportunity for local students to get on-the-spot scholarships and college admission.
This year, we will be able to serve more students than ever because the event is fully digital. Additionally, this is the first time we are welcoming freshmen and sophomores, along with juniors and seniors.
The event will be from noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 18 and is open to students of all backgrounds.
The San Diego County Office of Education is hosting the expo in partnership with the National College Resources Foundation. It will include representatives from about 50 historically black colleges and universities, providing students with the chance to learn about college options they may not be aware of yet.
High school students and education professionals can register for free.
