Wellness Wednesday: Get Up and Move

 Happy Wellness Wednesday Wednesday!

Wellness Wednesday is not only about mental wellness, but physical wellness too. With distance learning, it is easy to find ourselves sitting in front of a screen all day. Make sure you get up every hour to stretch and walk a bit. I try and get 200 steps in every hour during the school day during distance learning. 

Remember to place equal importance into your physical wellness and mental wellness. 

Self-Care Tip:
Get regular exercise. 30 minutes a day is suggested. A round of basketball, a walk around the block, or a YouTube dance workout can improve your mood and reduce stress and anxiety.

Kindness Challenge:
Give sincere compliments to three people today.

Please visit our Virtual Wellness Room to take a break from your online classes. Do some breathing exercises, stretch, or play a game. It's OK to take a time out in the middle of the day for a "brain break".
