Women in Computing at UC San Diego is hosting an annual Girls Day Out

The Women in Computing at UC San Diego is hosting an annual Girls Day Out event on Saturday, May 15, 2021! The event will take place at 10 am - 3 pm PST, with breaks included!

Girls Day Out is a day-long outreach event open to 9-12 graders interested in learning about the computer science field. Participants will learn about college life via student panels and have an opportunity to ask questions. Furthermore, participants will get a glimpse at computer science research from UCSD CSE’s own Professor Nadia Polikarpova. Lastly, participants will be introduced to the industry with information about internships and personal experiences from WIC alumni working at companies such as Google.

This year the event will be completely virtual, and we would love for you to send the attached event flyer to anyone who may be interested!

Sign ups for the Girls Day Out are now open, and students may apply through this form. Sign ups will close on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 11:59 pm PST.
